I started my humble musical journey like so many kids; with my dads nylon string guitar when I was in Grade School. I loved everything creative growing up but I couldn’t stop myself when it came to music. Punk Rock, Honor Choir, many roles in the Theatre department, many roles around my hometown doing community theatre, playing accompanying guitar for a set of classical singers, playing in and recording rock bands, producing hip hip hop beats and all manner of weird stuff in between, I was fully consumed. I got my hands on a digital recorder for the first time while a Junior in high school and produced multiple bands super DIY demos and early EPs. I got hooked. There was no going back and doing anything else at that point. I was going to explore the world and do it via music somehow.
Immediately after High School graduation I got the opportunity to get involved on the production side professionally, landing my first touring gig before I could even get into bars legally, which was tricky since most of that first year of touring involved a solid amount of 21+ only shows but, luckily I managed to fake it until I made it. Within a year and a half I was with a band supporting a AAA artist touring across five continents. I knew music was it professionally for me and I haven’t let up since then. I’ve done my best to divide my time between studio, composition, songwriting, beat production and also touring since then. Never really expected to set up a portfolio in this manner but it seems like the old rock and roll ways can cede a little space to the new professionalism of the Internet and so this space materialized.
This Wolf Shirt makes me significantly better at music.
